Are you a group with friends or family travelling together who wants to experience Trolltunga and the wild Norwegian nature in a unique and private setting? Do you want to enjoy the sunset and sunrise from your own private camp 1200 meters above sea level and experience Trolltunga when most hikers have returned back to civilization? Then maybe our brand new “all-inclusive” private tour is something for you?
You will have a beautiful campsite not far from Trolltunga all to yourselves. In the camp, with stunning views, we will serve you traditional local reindeer stew (or a vegan option) while you relax around the campfire. If the weather is good we can take a hike to the original Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen), a stunning cliff formation as magical as the more famous Trolltunga.
The hike starts at 10:30 at the Skjeggedal parking lot (read more about getting to Skjeggedal and the surrounding area HERE). After some information we will catch the shuttle up to P3 before we start hiking.
The way to Trolltunga is a 10 km hike with stunning views of Folgefonna Glacier, Ringedals lake and magnificent nature. On the way, you will be served a classic Norwegian mountain lunch around 15:00. We should be at Trolltunga around 17.00, depending on the pace of the group. One of the many benefits of a private hike is that we can set a pace that suits the group well, we have the whole day to ourselves! At Trolltunga we have plenty of time to enjoy one of Europe's most spectacular rock formations!
When we arrive at camp you can “check in” to your tents. The camp is a short walk from Trolltunga, so if you want to head back for the sunset that is possible. We will have a delicious dinner and after that, you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. If the weather allows we will make a campfire where you can make our own Norwegian S’mores and drink hot chocolate with whipped cream! If you want an extra good night's sleep, we recommend a swim in our secret pond. It’s cold, but no one has ever regretted it!
We wake you up early the next morning for breakfast and coffee/tea in bed. After breakfast, we get the chance to experience Trolltunga again in the special morning light, before the crowds come marching in. After enjoying the view we start our way back to civilization. We should be back at the parking lot between 14:00-15:00, depending on the weather and the pace of the group.
We'll provide; Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, sleeping liners, food, coffee/tea and some local surprises. All you need is a backpack, warm clothes and snacks. Make sure to check out our packing list before your hike!
Hope we see you this summer!

One of our top priorities is to leave no trace in the wonderful Norwegian nature. We try to leave the surroundings at least as good as we found them. We invite you to join us in this by taking down everything you bring up into the mountains.
