  • Our guide Celine

    Celine

    Celine is our general manager, social media marketing executive and guide. Grew up in Bergen city.

    Moved to Odda in 2017 and fell in love with the Hardanger area. If you like outdoors like Celine this is the place to stay. Glacier, mountain, fjords and waterfalls, a really beautiful place.

    Celine loves to be in the mountains and explore new places. Her interests are hiking, skiing, running and fishing! Celine also loves to test out new activities.

  • Magdalena

    Meet Magdalena who have a unique background that spans multiple countries and cultures. Originally from Poland, Magdalena pursued her passion for outdoor education in the stunning landscapes of Bø in Telemark. It was there she fell in love with the breathtaking Norwegian nature, which has deeply influenced her approach to outdoor activities and adventure.

    Having traveled almost all the continents (Antarctic left for when she retires;) she now resides in a serene yoga and meditation center in France. Her days are filled with mindfulness practices, trail running and climbing adventures. Her deep knowledge of Norwegian flora and passion for the outdoors make her the perfect companion for your next adventure.

  • Our guide Niels

    Niels

    Niels, born and raised in one of the flattest countries in the world – Denmark. Even though he has now been living I Norway for 2 years and loves it here.

    After graduating from Sport science at Aarhus university, he worked in Copenhagen for one year. But one special thing was missing – nature, so he decided to move to Norway to start a new chapter in his life.

    He is now studying Outdoor Leadership at University of Southeastern Norway. During his studies he has become really experienced in all different nature types, from the coastline to glaciers and mountain peaks.

    During the winter you will most likely find Niels on his way up or down a mountain on skies.

  • Our guide Jordar

    Jordar

    Jordar, raised on an almost self-sufficient farm out in the forest in Sweden. Have since an early age always loved being out in the nature on adventures.

    Recently graduated from a 2 year wilderness guide program in Finland. Where he also did a climbing specialization and became a climbing help instructor. He has also been studing a bit of modern circus and loves movements and being creative. Some of his biggest passions are traveling, climbing and adventures.

  • Viktor

    Viktor from southern Sweden (Kristianstad), completed his guide training at the Outdoor Academy in Finland after working in the restaurant business for many years. He felt it was time to change environments and spend more time outdoors. Viktor's passion is winter with ski touring and backcountry skiing in the mountains. Gliding through magnificent landscapes and zooming down challenging slopes brings him pure joy.

    Although he loves outdoor adventures, he is not averse to a quiet day on the couch in front of the TV.

    Now he travels from seasonal job to seasonal job, eager to discover and explore new places throughout the Nordic region.

  • Marcus

    Marcus is originally Danish, but moved to Norway in 2021, to do a bachelor’s degree in Nature, culture and outdoor recreation, which he recently finished. Since finishing he has had a hard time going back to the flat country of Denmark though and is now planning on staying indefinitely.

    Before coming to Norway, he spent time in the Danish army, and even finished a sergeant education there. Coming to Norway and studying the outdoors was therefore a big change, but a welcome one.

    The mountains have always been his big passion, and that is where you will usually find him, either climbing, skiing or hiking. In the main summer months, the glaciers are his main playground and workplace, and it is especially this part of Norway which has made It difficult for him to leave.

  • Florian

    Florian is originally from Germany. After an exchange year in Norway, he decided to come back and complete his bachelor and masters degree in "Friluftsliv", where he quickly became comfortable in all kind of situations outdoors.

    Florian is an excellent guide, whether on the ice as a glacier guide or on skis when he takes clients on remote ski touring trips. At Trolltunga, he brings his expertise of remote expeditions and leadership to offer our customers the safest and most exciting experience in the Norwegian nature.

    In his spare time, he enjoys building, cooking and making delicious sourdough breads.

  • Anker

    Our guide Anker is originally from Denmark, but have grown a special bond with Norway after he studied to become an outdoor leader at the university in Bø, Telemark.

    During his stay, he spent over 100 nights sleeping under tarps and in tents, immersing himself in kayaking, canoeing, skiing, glacier walks, and hiking. These experiences have endowed him with a deeper understanding of the Norwegian mountains and nature.

    Throughout the years Anker have gained recognition for his bold and adventurous spirit. One highlight includes his epic 7400 km bicycle journey across nine countries, from Copenhagen to Gibraltar.

    Subsequently, he has uncovered a passion for hiking and backpacking, often journeying with just the essentials in his backpack while exploring new and stunning terrains.

    Although his adventures have taken him far and wide, Anker especially cherishes the Nordic landscapes of Scandinavia, where he feels a special sense of belonging.

    Anker is friendly, energetic, and passionate, with countless stories to share. His greatest joy is inspiring others to embark on their own adventures, which is what makes guiding so fulfilling for him.

  • Sofie

    Sofie was born and raised in Copenhagen, where her parents introduced her to the magical beauty of the beaches, forest, and hiking. She spent much of her childhood horseback riding and discovered climbing in her early twenties, further deepening her love for outdoor activities. With a passion for nature and desire to share her knowledge, she decided to study biology and history at the University of Copenhagen to become a teacher. However, her plan changed after visiting Norway, its stunning landscape and abundance of outdoor activities persuaded her to move there and study outdoor leadership after graduation.

    Living and studying in Norway has enriched her understanding and outdoor life at the sea, rivers and especially the mountains which she adores the most. In her spare time, she still climbs but now outdoor! Other hobbies, such as kayaking, hiking, skiing, and mushroom-and berry hunting, have become an important part of her Norwegian life.

  • Our guide Emmi

    Emmi

    Emmi born and raised in Helsinki, Finland, loves the thrill of moving to a new place and making it home for a while. Fell in love with Norway's dramatic mountain scenery at first glance and feels like everyday here is an adventure. Has previously studied tourism and wilderness guiding and loves everything outdoors, especially hiking and camping.

    Other favorite things include, but are not limited to: freshly brewed coffee over bonfire, smoke saunas & ice swimming, chopping wood, sudokus, road trips and country music.

    Dreams of van life and getting a dog pal (or two).

  • Albert

    Meet Albert, a passionate outdoor guide from Denmark. After spending his entire life in Copenhagen, Albert grew tired of city living in a flat country. He decided to trade the urban lifestyle for the grandeur of Norway and is currently pursuing a degree in outdoor studies at the University of South-Eastern Norway. With a background in geography and urban planning, Albert has embraced the Norwegian wilderness and outdoor skills, enjoying every moment.

    Albert loves learning and storytelling and thrives on local adventures. In the summer, fall, and spring, you'll often find him exploring mountains, woods, rivers, and lakes—fishing, hiking, kayaking, camping, climbing, mushroom and berry hunting. During the winter months, he's on his trusty old fjellski, navigating the snowy terrain of Telemark. Join Albert for an enriching and adventurous experience in Norway’s stunning outdoors!

  • Malin

    Malin is originally from Bergen, but moved to Odda in 2022. She has stayed, largely because of the opportunities in the wonderful nature in Hardanger.

    She usually works as a police officer in Odda and does guiding in her spare time. Guiding has been a great way to go on nice trips with interesting and wonderful people.

    She enjoys new experiences and meeting new people. She goes on many hikes in summer and winter and likes spending the night outside, skiing and sitting by a fire in the sunset.

  • Synne

    Synne is born in Bergen, where most of her spare time has gone to hikes in the beautiful nature all over Vestland. Either Synne is wearing hiking boots, running shoes, skis, crampons or a climbing harness, the mountains is her happy place, and there are few things that can take away her smile when on a trip.

    Currently, Synne is studying in Bø in Telemark, and she has just finished her second year at the bachelor programme in Outdoor leadership. The studies contain several days and nights spent outside in all types of nature. This has resulted in a broad knowledge with experience in all from river canoeing and coastline to glacier travels and skiing.

  • Kamilla

    Kamilla. She grew up in Horten a town on the east coast of Norway. She moved to Odda in 2023 to Get closer to the dramatic mountains and beautiful nature here in the west.

    She loves outdoor life and beeing in the mountains, but never the less she loves giving this amazing experience to our guests. From Monday to friday she works as a physiotherapist, but in the weekends and after a day of work, You will usually find her in the mountains.

  • Magnus

    Magnus from Bergen, Norway. His big passions are all things connected with outdoor life and going up and down mountains in numerous ways.

    Ask Magnus about hunting and fishing and he can talk for a full day! He has lots of experiences that he loves to share.

    Magnus is never far from a smile and with his positive and encouraging spirit he is a true sunshine on our tours in even the most rainy conditions.

    What does Magnus do on his spare time between two hikes? Well, goes for another hike of course!

  • Hannah

    Hannah was born and raised in the midst of the Austrian Alps. As her home was literally situated next to a mountain she naturally enjoys being in and around them - be it hiking in the summer or snowboarding in the winter.

    She was a competitive triathlete for 10 years.

  • Mateusz

    Mateusz was born and raised in southern Poland, region known from beautiful mountains and nature. He has been introduced to hiking by his parents since he has been able to walk and does that every time he can.

    Besides studying economics he is working as a mountain guide and survival instructor for teenagers in one of the charities placed in his city for 5 years now.

    Mateusz visited Norway and Trolltunga in 2021 and felt in love with beautiful nature of this country so much, he decided to go back to show it to others!

  • Our guide Lilith

    Lilith

    Lilith is an adventurer, guide, and woman that wants to inspire people to step out of their comfort zone and into the world to connect with themselves and nature. She is a qualified Nordic Nature Guide holding a specialization in rock climbing, but loves all of the outdoor sports. Her absolute favorite color is the one of a blue summer sky and spring green birch leaves.

    Apart from guiding, Lilith has explored some of the world's most remote places, including winter expeditions in the Arctic Circle and the Caucasus Mountains. Time spent living in countries that experience severe poverty and conflict motivated her to deepen her knowledge of international relations and social inequality. She has also served as the president of the Human Geography Section at Lund University, Sweden.

  • Trond

    Trond is a man living in the village Lofthus by the side of the fjord. As a teacher in sports and outdoorlife, he is keeping himself active throughout the year. Trolltunga is like his second home after 10 years of guiding here, and he loves the interaction with our guests on the hike.

    Trond is very much into climbing and hiking, and in his holiday you are likely to find him on a mountain somewhere in the world. Also a big fan of sports like beachvolley, padel, football, discgolf etc.

    Since stand up comedy was not a thing while he grew up, instead he now tries to make people laugh on our hikes. He says that motivating people and helping them achieve a goal, is the main reason for guiding.

  • Our guide Sondre

    Sondre

    Sondre from Espa, in east of Norway, grew up in the woods by Norway’s biggest lake, Mjøsa.

    As he got older he moved to the West Coast to see what kind of mountains Norway has to offer. There he tried every outdoor activities he could find. One activity were more fun than the others, telemark skiing.

    The optimal day for him would be; a nice ride down a mountainside to a cozy campfire by the beach.

    He is now studying a bachelor degree in nature and outdoor life.

  • Our guide Eirik

    Eirik

    Eirik has lived in Øystese, a good hour from Odda, most of his life. He grew up running after sheep in his home mountains. As an adult he still runs in the same mountains, but mostly without farm animals around him.

    Eirik always get stuck with the heaviest backpacks on our hikes. As he always is training for some ridiculous long race, he doesn't mind. Slowing him down this way is nice for the rest of the group as they then get to spend the hike talking to him, each other and to enjoy the scenery along the path.

  • Our guide Carina

    Carina

    Carina from Kragerø, Norway. Moved all across Norway, but at the moment studying for a bachelor in outdoor leadership in Bø. Specializing in kano and kayaking, but are also collecting experiences from a variety of nature types.

    If not found in the mountains, you can look in the sea, as scuba diving is a big passion of hers.

    Carina loves the different seasons in Norway and how there are endless opportunities to be outdoors.

  • Our guide John

    John

    John is a local guide from Odda. But now he is living in Rosendal, a small beautiful village located 45 minutes from Odda. You can often find him on a mountain top, either with skis on, or with the coffee pot on the fire and the sleeping bag ready.

    He is working Monday - Friday at the local zinc-plant. Here he produce the most climate friendly zinc in the world, thanks to the local hydropower.

    And what does John like to do on his days off? - Having a good time with guests on the path to Trolltunga. What better way to spend your weekends?

    John is also a collector of perfect ski lines, sunsets and mountain peaks.

  • Our guide Marius

    Marius

    Marius grew up in Bergen, the city between the seven mountains. His father being a marathon runner and avid mountaineer naturally brought him along biking, running and hiking from an early age. His family has a lake-house by the fjord in Hauso, some 40 minutes from Trolltunga, where his ancestors all lived. It was during the time he spent here each summer his love for hiking in Hardanger was born.

    Marius holds a Bachelor of History from the University of Bergen and is currently finishing his degree in education and Master of History.

  • Our guide Hedda

    Hedda

    Hedda grew up in Trondheim, Norway. She moved to Røros in 2016, where she now lives a simple life in a dry cabin with all her 29 sled dogs right outside the door. She has done a one year study program of arctic outdoor living in Alta.

    Hedda spends most of the time outside, summer time she works as a guide; guiding trail riding with horses and as a hiking guide in the Norwegian mountains. During the fall and winter she spends all her time with the dogs, training her 29 sled dog for long-distance racing. Hedda has also spent a year in Alaska, training and racing sled dogs in the Alaskan wilderness, where she also guided sled dog tours.

    On her free time she has done two longer ski trips on Svalbard, and walked across Norway.

  • Our guide Oda

    Oda

    Oda is a local guide from Espe in Hardanger, where she was born and raised. Oda is on maternity leave for the 2023 season.

    She has worked her entire upbringing at the tourist cabins Mårbu and Sandhaug in the Hardangervidda National Park, which has been run by her parents since 2003.

    Oda is a positive and patient person who loves the fantastic nature Hardangervidda offers and is eager to share her many experiences from her cross-country walks across the plateau.

    Rio

    This traveller from France has settled in Norway during the last 7 years after falling in love with the majestic nature of Norway. He studied Norwegian language and culture and completed a Bachelor degree in outdoor life at the university college in Bø Telemark.

    This all-around guide is always feeling at home in nature, by the mountains, the forest and the sea, summer and winter.

    He also loves climbing and sharing his outdoor adventures around a hot cacao in the evenings!

  • Our guide Silje

    Silje

    Silje grew up in Os in Østerdalen. She has studied outdoor education, Spanish and is an educated teacher.

    Silje loves all types of outdoor activities, like hiking, skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hunting, kayaking, making food on the campfire, you name it! She is outgoing, positive and patient.

    Silje has experience in working as a guide through the company "Fjellføreren" in Sunnmøre and "Briksdal adventure".
